Liming Zhao is currently a research scientist at Alibaba DAMO Academy.

In 2018, he obtained his Ph.D. in Computer Science at Zhejiang University, advised Prof. Xi Li and Prof. Yueting Zhuang.

Earlier, he received his bachelor's degree from Shandong University in 2013.

His current research interests are primarily in computer vision and machine learning, especially visual perception and deep learning.

His works have been published in journals/conferences such as TPAMI, TIP, CVPR, ICCV, ECCV, ICML, NeurIPS, ACM MM, AAAI and IJCAI.

He serves as a reviewer for top journals (IEEE TIP and ACM TIST) and conferences (CVPR, ICCV, AAAI, IJCAI, ACM MM) .
